A week after a 3-0 walloping at the hands of VTM FC, there is no respite for Notwane who face the possible wrath of on-form Young Strikers on Saturday.

Notwane will want to put their title chase back on track and stay in touch with First Division South log leaders, Matebele, who are threatening to run away with the title.

Jwaneng side, Young Stars have proved a tough nut to crack with a brilliant run in the second tier. With only six games before curtains on the First Division South campaign, the title chase is heating up, with the top six teams in contention. Young Stars have emerged as dark horses in the title tilt and Notwane have a tough assignment on their hands.

Stars are sharpshooters as they have proved lethal in front of goals, winning their recent games convincingly. A win will push the Jwaneng side to 29 points and closer to the promotion play-off position. On the other hand, Notwane will look to apply pressure on Matebele, with the log leaders facing Matebejana at the Holy Ghost Park tomorrow.

This will be another encounter to keep a close eye on the other five teams that form part of the top six hoping Matebele drop points in the title race as there is not that much difference between the teams. Matebele enjoy a four-point cushion, with the sixth-placed side only eight points adrift. These small margins mean every point will be vital and teams will go all out in their last six fixtures.

Other fixtures will see former leaders, CrackiT City Polar face Broadhurst United at the UB Stadium in a game that has a bearing on both ends of the table. VTM FC hope to carry the form that saw them destroy Notwane, into their weekend match against Black Forest at the Black Forest Arena.

Mochudi Centre Chiefs, who are yet to taste defeat under the interim coach Patrick Molefe, will be on the road as they take on Tlokweng United at Tlokweng VDC ground. Magosi are on the hunt for maximum points to stay in contention for the title.

Kudos to Kario

A few weeks after the former ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) was reduced to a pale shadow of itself in the just passed General Election on October 30, it was only logical that you take a conscious decision of resigning from the party. This was before you could be pushed out of the position by irate party diehards who feel you did not do enough during your tenure as the head of the party secretariat. We know that it is at the party...
