JWANENG: Young Stars’ head coach, Andrew ‘School Boy’ Tlou, is guarding against complacency with his side just two wins away from their first ever elite league promotion.

On Friday, Young Stars moved inches closer to the Debswana First Division South league championship following their 2-0 win over Extension Gunners in a game played at the Galaxy Stadium.

Tlou's side is seven points ahead of second placed Union Flamengo Santos with 12 points left to play for. “In football it is never over until you have crossed the final line.

For now it is not yet over; for now we have not won the league. We have set our minds on fighting for the league and we do not want to overly excite ourselves. We have not won the league, there are still hurdles ahead and what we need to do is to be calm, act correctly, at the right place, at the right time and in the right way,” Tlou told SportMonitor following the Friday evening win.

At home, Young Stars announced their intentions as early as the sixth minute but Botsile Kebaikanye’s low drive did not trouble the goalkeeper. Kebaikanye came close again on the 33rd minute but he was superbly denied by the goalkeeper. On other end, Boipelo Oaitse's attempt was just inches away from goal on the 40th minute.

Two minutes later, Gunners defense failed to clear a chance and Kebaikanye buried his attempt into the bottom corner to give his side the lead. On the brink of half time, Karabo Seleinyane had his long range attempt parried over the bar as the home side held a 1-0 lead after a very dominant first half.

A minute in to the second half, Kebaikanye found Seleinyane with a through ball and the latter was superbly denied by the on rushing goalkeeper. Seleinyane once again came second to Moraka Tauyatswala as the goalkeeper parried his attempt over the bar on the 63rd minute. The home side eventually doubled the lead with a superbly taken Serati Semadi acrobatic finish on the 70th minute. Young Stars missed a number of chances later on but collected the maximum points on the evening.

Is our screening adequate?

Sadly, we live in a society that seems to be losing its moral fibre by the day. When parents take their children to a boarding school they do so to give them a brighter future, not to have some dirty paedophilic predator to prey on them. Sex orientation is a touchy subject and for young minds to be sexualised at a young age by a grown man perpetrating harm on them by cutting through their sphincter muscle to penetrate their anal canal. Anyone can...
