Zakhem, Shah ousted from BFL board

The shareholders reportedly resolved to remove board chairperson, Nicholas Zakhem as well as board member, Jagdish Shah.
Masitaoka chairperson, Godfrey Ratlhaga has been elected as the new chairperson while Tumelo Toteng, TAFIC chairman replaced Shah on the board. The decision comes in the wake of reported tensions within the BFL, which have been building up for quite some time.
Among one of the reasons, which reportedly led to the acrimony, was the decision to relegate four Premier League teams at the end of the current season. The decision was apparently not well received by a number of the clubs while the BFL leadership insisted that it has long been agreed that the Premier League shall consist of 12 teams.
The shareholders recently made their first attempt to remove the two prominent leaders. But their efforts hit a snag as the initially planned meeting was said to be illegal. However, over the weekend, they gathered at the Majestic Hotel in Palapye where a decision was reached to remove both Shah and Zakhem.
The shareholders also resolved at the same meeting that the process of relegating and promoting the teams will remain the same with bottom three Premier League sides going to the lower division.
