Sub latswa marinini The versatility of Bull Brand Mince Meals is undeniable. There are a thousand and one creative ideas that one can tap into, while putting together an amazing meal.

This is something that we are looking forward to at ChellzKitchen, as Batswana have taken up the mantle to produce astounding masterpieces in the current Bull Brand #iCANwin competition. I myself have been in the kitchen exploring different ways to execute the canned goodness. This led me down memory lane as I remembered a particular fast-food outlet that used to have subs. They no longer make subs, and my husband and I have had a very concerned conversation about it because it was a great alternative to their main offering. Anyway, I decided I was making subs. For those that might not be in the know, a submarine sandwich, commonly known as a sub, is a type of American cold or hot sandwich made from a cylindrical bread roll split lengthwise and filled with meats, cheeses, vegetables, and condiments.

Deriving its name from the similarity in shape to an actual sea vessel, I personally think it evolved to a comparison to trains on the American subway as well with their long winding bodies. I could be wrong, but you must admit, that hypothesis makes a lot of sense. My take on the Bull Brand mince sub was inspired by the mighty sloppy Joe. Similar in filling, I switched things up by toasting the rolls I was using all round. I used the chilli mince and spruced it up by sautéing some onion and adding the mince which is pre-loaded with vegetables (refreshingly convenient). With the heat turned down, I warmed the mince and it was ready to eat, the sub was ready to surface, excuse the pun. There’s no limit how creative we can get this next few weeks. We set up a sampling table of the Bull Brand Meals at Perfectionate Aesthetic Spa over the weekend during the first installment of the Ready, Set, Slow Down sessions as part of the starters, most were presently surprised that the mince was not tampered with, it was just heated and served, all the veggies were part of the canned goodness. Share your inspired Bull Brand minced meal creations to our FB Chellzkitchen page after you check out what the current buzz is about.
